NetWitness Corporation, an international leader in threat intelligence and real-time network forensics, reported yesterday that the company had achieved a 220 percent revenue growth from the previous year. The revenue growth has been attributed to a 70% increase in enterprise deployments in various US government agencies, as well as new customers globally in the financial services, critical infrastructure, technology and manufacturing sectors.
To compliment the growth, NetWitness expanded its Herndon headquarters and opened its first international office in the U.K. to help support rapid customer growth in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Additional support to Latin America and Asia also has been realized.
"Despite the challenging worldwide economic climate, NetWitness surpassed its growth and profitability objectives for 2009," said Dana Duffy, CFO, NetWitness Corporation. "Given our explosive growth, successful track record, and customer satisfaction, we are confident that our 2010 performance will continue to show aggressive revenue increases worldwide."
NetWitness and other DC-area companies specializing in security solutions, especially preventative and real-time threat analysis, should see business increase over the next few years as the US government, under pressure from a rise in attacks from organized crime and nation-sponsored cyber attacks, seeks to increase security across all agencies.
