ManTech Awarded $99M FBI Cyber Security Contract

(Fairfax, VA) - Fairfax-based
ManTech International, a provider of technical and engineering services to defense and intelligence clients, said on Monday that it has won a $99.5 million contract from the FBI.
Under the contract, ManTech will provide an array of security services including: 24/7 cyber security support, including intrusion-detection monitoring, security engineering, incident identification and response, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing, cyber-threat analysis, and specialized cyber training services.
ManTech will use ISO 9001-compliant security processes and will introduce new security technologies to reduce risks associated with cyber threats.
"Based on our long experience in cyber security and supporting the FBI, we understand the significant role of this effort to the FBI’s mission and to national security," said L. William Varner, president, ManTech’s Mission, Cyber and Technology Solutions group. "We look forward to supporting the FBI with world-class cyber security capabilities to further enhance its preparedness and ability to respond to internal and external cyber threats."
ManTech posted second-quarter revenue of $661.6 million, up 29 percent from a year earlier. Earnings climbed 13 percent to $32.2 million. In 2009 the company posted revenues of $2.02 billion.
