InfoPro Wins $57.2 Million CBP Contract for Border Enforcement and Management Systems

McLean, Va. – March 1, 2010 – The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection awarded
InfoPro the Border Enforcement Management Systems (BEMS) Program Office’s software application and operational maintenance (O&M) support contract to provide system and software design, engineering, development, and O&M applications and systems support services. The contract is valued at $57.2 million through August 2012.
CBP is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with the management, control and protection of our Nation’s borders at and between the official ports of entry. BEMS’ mission is to support mission systems, border systems and information dissemination across the full system lifecycle. InfoPro will support approximately 50,000 personnel at several CBP internal offices and external federal agencies or bureaus supporting the common goals and missions of DHS such as the Office of Administration; Office of Border Patrol; Office of Field Operations; Office of Human Resource Management; and Office of Air and Marine.

The InfoPro team includes QinetiQ North America, McLean, Va.; ViaTech Systems, Inc., McLean, Va.; and Xterra Corporation, Purcellville, Va. Services for BEMS will include project management support; business process re-engineering; business case development; COTS/GOTS product integration support; new technology evaluation; application systems development, integration support and implementation; maintenance and enhancement of application systems; and application end user support and training.
