Fortress Technologies, a provider of secure tactical wireless communications for the government, announced that it has completed its second consecutive year of triple digit revenue growth. The growth has been fuelled by new projects with the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and National Guard, as well as expanded support for the Army’s Combat Service Support Automated Information System Interface (CAISI). CAISI is a secure, wireless local area network that provides "last-mile" connectivity between combat service support computers and their logistics base networks. The company also launched six new products in 2009, enabling complete on-the-move connectivity for its clients.
"Launching the new products cemented our commitment to providing the best performing and most mission capable secure mobile wireless solutions to the DoD and expanded our footprint in this space," said Janet Kumpu, President of Fortress. "These products are equipped with the industry-leading security required for use in government environments, ensuring that Fortress is perfectly positioned to continue our growth in 2010 and beyond."
In addition to growing at 100% last year, and meeting an steady increase in client demand, the company, according to Kumpu, also "made significant investments to expand our sales and marketing teams" to better support future growth.
