FedBid Names Michael Bonamassa as Senior Vice President

VIENNA, Va.--FedBid, Inc., The Buyer-Driven Online Marketplace® for commodity buys, today announced that it has named Michael Bonamassa as Senior Vice President of Commercial Accounts. Bonamassa brings more than two decades of experience in strategic planning and revenue generation for fast-growing technology companies such as Advanced Technology Systems, Number Six Software and Rational Software. In this new position, Bonamassa will lead FedBid’s planning process to offer its online reverse auction marketplace to companies in the private sector.

Prior to joining FedBid, Bonamassa was CEO of Green House Energy, a distributed-grid renewable power generation provider that provided cost-efficient solar power systems to homeowners. Previously, he served as Chief Operating Officer for Number Six Software, where he grew new business revenue from $4 million to $35 million annually. After Advanced Technology Systems Corporation acquired Number Six Software, Bonamassa was named Senior Vice President, overseeing operational development and long-term business planning. He arrived at Number Six after serving in numerous leadership roles within leading software engineering products company Rational Software.
