CSC Wins $224 Million U.S. Army Task Order

FALLS CHURCH, Va.--CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today that the U.S. Army awarded the company a task order to provide technical and engineering support for its Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC). The five-year task order, which was awarded during CSC’s fiscal 2011 first quarter, has an estimated total value of $224 million. The task order was awarded under the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command’s Expedited Professional and Engineering Support Services blanket purchase agreement, which CSC won in 2005.
Under the terms of the agreement, CSC will provide technical and engineering services in the areas of integration, computer, navigation and control technologies; and electronics and system design.

AMRDEC, which is headquartered in Huntsville, Ala., is a subordinate laboratory to the Research, Development and Engineering Command. It provides research, development and engineering technology and services for the Army’s aviation and missile platforms.
