CEO & CFO Leave McLean’s Primus Telecommunications
By Dave Liss | September 7, 2010
Primus Telecommunications Group, a McLean-based provider of telecommunications and Internet services that emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy last year, announced the resignations of two of its top executives, with Paul Singh stepping down as president and CEO, and Thomas Kloster as CFO.
No specific reasons were offered for the departures. The moves comes six months after John DePodesta, a co-founder along with Singh, resigned as executive vice president and chief legal officer.
Primus' board of directors has named lead independent director John Spirtos as the company's acting CEO, with James Keeley, its vice president and corporate controller, filling in at CFO.
"They are seasoned executives with deep knowledge of Primus’ businesses, customers and operations, and are well prepared to guide the company during this interim period," said board member Neil Subin.
The board has launched searches to permanently fill both positions.
