With a proven operational record of driving pre-revenue companies through to market leadership positions, Nugent will lend his expertise and board experience to help further grow AirPatrol’s market share in the enterprise mobility security industry.

Nugent brings 18 years of technology industry experience spanning executive leadership posts in general management (CEO), sales, marketing, business development and customer service across the security, communications and networking industries. Most recently, Nugent has been President & CEO of Applied Identity, a policy-driven I&AM solutions provider for the enterprise, government and MSP sectors. As a recipient of the prestigious Red Herring 100 Award and the Gartner Cool Vendor Award, Applied Identity built a best-in-class containment and compliance solution that was awarded patents for its unique technology and amassed a distribution and customer network on four continents.
Prior to Applied Identity, Nugent was senior vice president of sales and field operations for Teros, the leader in application firewalls, which was acquired by Citrix (NASDAQ:CTXS). In addition, he was senior vice president of sales, support and global alliances at Atrica, the leader in 10G Ethernet networking for carriers. Atrica was acquired by Nokia Siemens Networks (NYSE:NOK). Before Atrica, Nugent was senior vice president, worldwide sales, support & business development for LuxN, a leader in metro DWDM that penetrated over 50 service providers. LuxN was acquired by Sorrento Networks (NASDAQ:SNTO). Nugent's experience also includes sales management positions at Cisco and 3Com. In addition to Applied Identity, Nugent is on the Board of Directors for BRIGHTCLOUD, a provider of next-gen, in-the-cloud security services. He is a member of the 'Alliance of CEOs'; the San Diego Venture Group and is a frequent lecturer to CEO consortiums such as the Total Access Series.
