BAE Systems on Tuesday announced it had agreed to purchase a New Hampshire technology company that specializes in electronic optical systems.
BAE did not disclose how much it paid for privately owned OASYS Technology.
In a statement, BAE executive vice president Bob Murphy said the acquisition would help the defense industry giant expand its offerings in surveillance systems and targeting and guidance equipment.
OASYS, based in Manchester, N.H. also sells industrial and commercial products to the medical, metrology, transportation and security industries.
Plans call for the 65-employee company to be merged into BAE's existing operations in Nashua, N.H.
