Northern Virginia Technology Council Announces First Annual Social Media Award Winners

HERNDON, Va. – June 02, 2010 – The
Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC), the largest technology council in the nation, announced today that its Social Media Committee will announce the first annual social media award winners on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at K Street Lounge from 6pm-8pm ET. The awards program will honor those organizations that have successfully implemented innovative and unique social media programs.
The program includes six categories: Best use of Facebook, Best use of Twitter, Best use of LinkedIn, Best use of viral video, Best corporate blog and Best social media integrated campaign (across more than one social channel). Judges of the awards are Amber Harris (@TheNuwanda), Manager, Digital Communications, Discovery Communications; Shashi Bellamkonda (@shashib), Social Media Swami, Network Solutions; and Brian Dresher (@bdresher), Manager, Social Media and Digital Partnerships, USATODAY.com.
