Advanced Solutions International secures 300 organizations, 40% market share in 2009

Advanced Solutions International (ASI), a global provider of Web-based software for member and donor-based non-profits based in Virginia, announced that nearly 300 organizations invested in its iMIS 15 solution in 2009.

AOL garners $1.4m profit; Revenues drop by 17%

In its first quarterly report as an independent company in ten years, AOL posted a $1.4 million profit to close out 2009. The overall profit comes despite the company’s revenues falling 17 percent to $809.7 million, largely due to declines in advertising sales and dial-up Internet subscribers.

White House CIO Kundra Says Government Will Move to Cloud Computing and the Mobile Platform in FY’11

White House Chief Information Officer Vivek Kundra said that for FY2011, the president will direct 79 billion dollars toward information technology, with an emphasis on more effectively managing federal IT investments, establishing a participatory, transparent democracy, increasing government IT efficiency and effectiveness, and advancing the federal government’s information security posture.

SkyBitz Releases New Asset Tracking System

Remote access tracking company SkyBitz helps trucking and hauling giants such as J.B. Hunt and C.R. England track their trailers through mobile global location system (GLS) devices, an advancement on GPS tools. SkyBitz also supplies its mobile tracking terminals to the emergency response, oil and gas, chemical and intermodal industries. The Sterling, Va.-based company is currently tracking 200,000 assets for 600 companies.
